Kyushu is another big island that exists in Japan, with 7 prefectures of Fukuoka(福岡) being the region’s capital, Nagasaki(長崎), Saga(佐賀), Kumamoto(熊本), Oita(大分), Miyazaki(宮崎) and Kagoshima(鹿児島). The region used to be honeymoon destination among Japanese, so that there are countless touristic spots available in this region.
What makes the region so great is “hot springs”. With many active volcanos, there are attractive hot springs throughout the region, as well as its unique view. The weather is usually very warm and the tropical climate is another reason why many people are attracted to this region.
There is Fukuoka International Airport (FUK/福岡国際空港). The airport is only 10 minutes away from the city center which is so convenient.
