There is always a long queue in front of the shops, but it is definitely worth trying. Continue reading this article to know more about the shop and their cheesecake.
The history of Uncle Rikuro.
Rikuro is the name of the founder of the company, who has introduced this fresh cheesecake to the world.
Their freshly baked cheesecake first came to the market in 1984, but they started their business as a retail shop in 1957. Rikuro and his colleagues were not sure if they can be successful, but now the sweet became what represents Osaka.
Size, price and the taste of the cheesecake– these three elements are the most important values for the people in Osaka, and their cheesecake has met them all.
Although the cheesecake is their No.1 product, they also have nice confectionaries and breads.
What is special about cheesecake?
Let’s see what makes their cheesecake so special.
First of all, their cheesecake is so fresh, or probably way too fresh.
They bake their cheesecake at the shop, in front of customers. People who are passing in front of the shop will be tempted to buy one because of their sweet and nice smell coming from the shop. They bake 12 cheesecakes at a time, and customers can wait to buy their freshly baked cheesecake. Fresh cheesecake is so fluffy and soft, just like a baby’s cheek or a sponge!
They also pay extra attention on ingredients.
They only use fresh dairy products and natural ingredients. The cheese is imported from Denmark, which is manufactured under strict regulations. This cheese is the secret why the cheesecake has fresh but rich flavor.
In addition, they put special raisins at the bottom of the cake, which they believe is what sets the cake off.
They pursued a special syrup to sweeten the raisins, again and again, and finally found a recipe. This dried fruit does a perfect job, in terms of nutrition and as an “accent” for the cheesecake.
