Tochigi is a prefecture of northern Kanto region, and the capital is Utsunomiya city (宇都宮). There is no ocean, and their touristic spots are all on the mountain side.
When Japanese people hear the name Tochigi, they may imagine Gyoza (餃子) or Chinese dumplings. They originally came from China, but now it is eaten at daily basis in Japan. That is because the prefecture is number one producer of Chinese leeks, which is used in the food. They are super nice, however, if you would like to avoid eating pork meat, then try to check well as they usually use minced pork and chicken.
Also, the strawberry is another famous product of Tochigi. Tochiotome (とちおとめ) is the name of the brand, and it is widely known to Japanese people.
