Ibaraki is a prefecture located at northern Kanto region, whose capital is Mito city (水戸). Ibaraki produces a lot of farming products and is transported mainly to Tokyo area.
Ibaraki is known for Natto (納豆), Japanese fermented beans which are eaten throughout the country. This is because they had to preserve soybeans from flood which took place so often. Even though you are not good at trying this food, it is worth trying when you have a chance to visit the prefecture.
