Nara is a prefecture with full of historical sites. The capital is Nara city (奈良). We are not sure where exactly the very first kingdom flourished in Japan, even now, however, Nara has so many historical monuments which have been built in 7-8th century, and it is considered to be one of the first capital cities of Japan.
The prefecture has no ocean, but it is located at the very convenient spot. The access to Osaka takes only about 30 minutes.
