Why so many red gates? Why Fox shrine?

Gate, called as Torii in Japanese, is considered as the entrance to the sacred place. It separates the world that people live to respect nature and god that Japanese people believe.

But why can we see this many Torii gates at Fushimi Inari? This is because people who paid a visit to the shrine offered new gate as a donation after their wish came true. Torii in Japanese also sounds like “come true” in the language, which is the reason why people relate Torii as their wish.

It is said that there are more than 10,000 Torii gates at Fushimi Inari shrine!

People donates gates to the shrine.

Also, the shrine is called as Fox shrine, because fox is considered as a good animal. Inari means “good rice harvest’, and fox helps them grow healthier. For example, they catch rats that eat rice.

They also appear only during the time when we can see rice field, so people thought fox is embodies god that is believed in Japanese culture.

What is Wagyu Sushi Roll?

Sushi, in general, uses fresh seafood and vegetables. If we use meat, then it is considered more like”western food”, but Japanese people are so flexible that some of the restaurants have this menu.

Big roll of Sushi, whose rice is slightly seasoned with vinegar just like normal recipe, is their specialty. Instead of raw fish meat, they use slices of Halal Wagyu. This comes with thin layers of vegetables which makes the Sushi as satisfying portion.

Instead of normal soy sauce, they use a little bit of spicy sauce that originates in Korea. This adds more flavor to the roll and even people who are not good at eating raw fish can easily enjoy the taste.

Another great thing is that they can be easily carried. Wagyu Sushi roll is located inside a small food court, but they can prepare as take away, which can be a great option if you want to enjoy a meal with beautiful Japanese scenery.
