Kochi is the prefecture in Shikoku, whose capital city is Kochi (高知). The prefecture is famous for a historical legend, Ryoma Sakamoto (坂本龍馬), who had connected two opposed parties in the end of Edo period. You may see his statues in this prefecture.
Also, because of the location of the prefecture, Kochi is famous for fishing, especially bonito fish. Sweet potatoes and seaweed are also their specialties.
