The name of the prefecture is not so much recognized as the name of capital; Yokohama (横浜). Being located just adjacent to Tokyo, the prefecture is a commuter town but also a base for many companies, too.
The prefecture itself is rich in touristic spots, too. There are prestige hot springs, historical cities which attracts millions of tourists and beaches, and some future UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
