Hakodate is a famous place where fresh seafood, especially squid, is produced. In the Fish Market, there are various restaurants or canteens where you can try fresh seafood as Sashimi or Sushi, so it would be a good idea to have your perfect breakfast here.

Size is rather small, so it is a good choice for breakfast!

Although it could be a bit difficult for foreigners to buy fresh seafood as a souvenir, you can try to find some of the nice, dried souvenirs, too.

Squid fishing pond is very easy to spot. After passing narrow street then you will get to a space with high roof. This is where you can enjoy squid fishing.

Do you need a technique to fish the squid? Actually, no! Try to hook the ear of the squid with the fishing rod. When squid gets out of the water, they may spit ink, so be careful!

After you catch the squid, staff will help you cut the suid into fresh Sashimi. Enjoying the fresh squid that you have just caught will be a unforgettable experience in Hakodate.
