Tokyo Disneyland is the most popular theme park in Japan, not only for kids but also for adults. Actually, it is the third most visited theme park in the world after Florida and California, with nearly 20 million visitors every year!

However, one of the concerns for Muslims who are planning to go to Disneyland may be Food. If we answer to a question if there is any Halal restaurant in the park, we have to say No unfortunately.

Two types of theme parks.

Many of you may know that there are two types of parks; one is normal Tokyo Disneyland is another one is Tokyo Disney Sea.

The concept of Tokyo Disneyland is to realize the world of authentic Disney movies, while Disney Sea has more romantic, western-like buildings around a lake. Both of the parks can be enjoyed by everyone, including kids and adults, however, it is said that Disney Sea is more enjoyable for a couple or adults.

Can we go to both Disneyland and Sea on the same day?

Do you want to go to both parks in one day? Unfortunately, this is not very easy but there are three ways you can do this.

If you want to enjoy both parks on the same day, staying at one of the Disney hotels seems the best solution.

There are many restaurants in the park, what do they offer?

As you can see from their official website, there are so many restaurants in both parks. However, checking their menus, as of May 2023, none of them have very Muslim-friendly menus.

Some of the restaurants offer Margarita pizza or seafood menu. However, it can be very difficult to find a restaurant while queuing for the attraction or running round the huge park. Some snacks like popcorn or ice cream can be Muslim-friendly, but we guess it would not fully satisfy your appetite for a whole day.

Instead, what Muslims can do is to get out of the park and dine outside.

How can we re-enter the park and where should we go for a meal?

To do this, you have to make sure that you get a re-entering stamp on your hand. When re-entering the park, you have to show a ticket and a handstamp to a staff. This is required even for 3/4 Days Magic Passport, so whatever the ticket type you have, make sure that you complete the re-entering procedure.

The closest Halal restaurant available is Red Lobster at Maihama IKSPIARI, a mall. Although the restaurant is originally from U.S.A., thanks to the great quality of seafood that we have in Japan, you can have a great gourmet experience.

If you want to have just a light Japanese meal, then you can go to Omusubi Gonbei (おむすび権兵衛), a rice ball restaurant on the 1st floor at the Courtyard, or a Mexican restaurant Guzman y Gomez has no-pork/no-alcohol menu available on the 2nd floor, Theater Front.

To get to IKSPIARI, it will take around 10 minutes from the entrance gate of Disneyland. This is not that far, but remember Disneyland itself is huge, so plan your dining schedule well.
