Halal souvenir from Sake brewery in Himeji, La La La Cola from Yaegaki.

Sake brewery established in Himeji in 1666.

When talking about Sake or alcoholic beverages, we know that not a small number of Muslims will lose their interest in reading the article.

Well, we still would like to talk about this Sake company, which was established in Himeji in 1666, because they have a special souvenir which can be consumed as Halal or Muslim-friendly!

Yaegaki Sake Brewery (ヤヱガキ酒造) was established more than 400 years ago, and since then, they have produced Sake, using local special rice called Yamadanishiki. It is really interesting to see a Sake brewery to make something which can be recommended for Muslims, isn’t it?

So, what is the product like?

The name of the product is La La La Cola.

Though it has “cola” in their name, it is not a drink from America. It is more like a sweet syrup whose color is orange.

Recently, a beverage called Craft Cola is very popular in Japan and Yaegaki Brewery created this product. Craft Cola is made from ingredients like sugar, herb, citrus juice and spices like cumin, and it can be made into other beverages when diluted or mixed.

Yaegaki Sake Brewery has made this product using their fermented rice yeast, which is also needed to produce Sake. The product is not using any additives or preserves!

How can we enjoy the drink?

The Craft Cola has some recipes. The very first recommendation is to dilute with soda water and ice cubes.

Spicy taste would stimulate your appetite.

Because the syrup has so many types of spices, the taste is like a fresh ginger ale. What is good about a Craft Cola is that we can adjust the sweetness of the beverage. Adding a bit more of soda water could match the meal, too.

The second recommendation is to add a hot milk! With a nicely foamed milk and a bit of cinnamon powder on top, the beverage becomes a special drink. The taste is like a sweet Indian style chai, but it comes without strong caffeine, which is a good thing for pregnant ladies and children.

Spicy ginger and cardamon flavor.

Where can we buy the product?
