Gifu is a mountain prefecture without any ocean, whose capital is Gifu (岐阜). The prefecture is rich in nature and cultural heritages, but the access to Nagoya, which is one of the 5 biggest cities of Japan, is very convenient, too. It takes only about 20 minutes from Nagoya to Gifu station by train. This enables all the tourists to come for a tourism easily.
The specialty in Gifu prefecture is Hida beef (飛騨牛) and Miso paste! The food is relatively salty to survive harsh winter.
