👉I want to know about Muslim-Friendly Accommodations
Day 1 – Asakusa & Tokyo Skytree
Start your trip in Asakusa, one of the most historic areas in Tokyo.

The highlight is Sensō-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple. We recommend Asakusa to start your japan trip since Asakusa is one of the best areas in Japan for Halal food options.
Halal Food in Asakusa
Muslim travelers can find:
- Halal ramen
- Halal burgers
- Halal yakiniku (Japanese BBQ)
Because of this variety, most Muslim visitors find that food is not a problem in this area.
However, traveling with a local Muslim guide can make the experience much richer. A guide can explain the history and cultural meaning behind places that visitors might otherwise miss.
In the afternoon, visit Tokyo Skytree, Japan’s tallest tower with spectacular views of the city.
Prayer
You can pray at:
- Asakusa Mosque
However, the location is not good and you will need to walk 15 minutes from Asakusa center. We recommend praying in one of the prayer spaces in the restaurant instead.
Or you can use a prayer spaces in the Sky Tree instead. There is a spacious space for prayers in the Sky Tree that everyone can use without registration.

Day 2– Shibuya, Harajuku & Tokyo Camii
Start your day in Shibuya, home to the world-famous Shibuya Crossing and famous dog statue Hachi.
Continue to Harajuku, known for fashion and youth culture.
For Muslim travelers, a very important stop is Tokyo Camii, the largest mosque in Japan.

Many travelers visit here for prayer and to enjoy the peaceful environment.
After visiting Tokyo Camii, we recommend continuing to:
Tsukiji
This historic seafood market area is famous for fresh seafood and local food culture.
teamLab Planets
An immersive digital art museum that has become one of Tokyo’s most popular attractions.
Halal food in Shibuya or Tokyo Camii
You may find quite many halal options in Shibuya. There are Japanese and Non-Japanese choices, even some street snacks (hamburger, beef skewers and kebabs) are available.
If you are not yet hungry, we recommend eating around Tokyo Masjid. There are some Halal non-Japanese options near the mosque.
Prayer
Tokyo Camii or Harajuku Tourist Center has a space to pray.
Day 3 – Mount Fuji & Lake Kawaguchi
A trip to Japan is incomplete without seeing Mount Fuji, so let’s head to Kawaguchiko area, one of the best viewpoints is Lake Kawaguchi.

You can easily access to the area by express bus or trains, but we strongly recommend early bookings for this route.
Even the transportation within this area can be complicated, because public transport is limited and travel times can be long.
If you are not renting a car, we strongly recommend hiring a private car from Tokyo, which usually costs around ¥70,000 for a full day.
This allows you to explore comfortably without worrying about complicated train connections.
